Questions About MyCaseTrail

Answers about MyCaseTrail drafts, language support, document storage and the limits of this independent preparation tool.

Does MyCaseTrail file my application?

No. You prepare and export a draft for your own review. Nothing is submitted to USCIS automatically.

Does a completed checklist mean I can file?

No. Progress describes preparation inside the workspace. It does not establish eligibility or confirm that evidence is sufficient.

Which languages can I use?

The interface supports English, Belarusian, Russian and Ukrainian. Answers intended for the USCIS form stay in English.

Where are my documents stored?

In the current local application, accounts, answers and uploaded documents are stored in PostgreSQL on the computer running it. Uploaded files are accessed through authenticated APIs, not public document links. See the draft Privacy Policy for optional external services.

Can I bring my draft to an attorney?

Yes. Your draft, organized records and unresolved questions can help prepare for a consultation. MyCaseTrail does not provide attorney representation.
