Purpose of the workspace
The workspace helps you organize immigration information, prepare draft Form I-485 answers and PDFs, review supporting documents, track preparation progress, use links to official USCIS resources, and keep working notes. It is an organizational aid; it does not decide eligibility or guarantee that a draft is complete or legally sufficient.
Independent and unofficial service
MyCaseTrail is an independent software application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), or any other government agency.
No legal advice or representation
The software and its explanations do not provide legal advice, establish an attorney-client relationship, represent you before USCIS or an immigration court, or determine your eligibility. General information may not fit your circumstances. For legal advice, consult a qualified immigration attorney or a Department of Justice-accredited representative.
No official filing
Saving answers, generating a PDF, or viewing a case-status result does not file an application, confirm eligibility, or prove approval. The workspace does not submit your application to USCIS. You are responsible for the official filing method, signatures, current fees, deadlines, and required evidence.
Your responsibilities
Review every answer and document for accuracy and completeness. Check the current USCIS form edition, instructions, filing category, address, payment method, and deadlines before filing. Protect your account credentials and local backups. Seek professional help when your facts or legal issues call for it.
Accuracy and availability
Software, extracted PDF field names, summaries, public-source checks, and optional case-status responses may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. The visible text of the original USCIS form and current official agency instructions control. The workspace may be unavailable or contain errors; do not rely on it as your only copy of important records.
Materials and ownership
The application software and original interface content belong to their respective rights holders. Official government forms and publications remain government materials. You retain your rights in documents and information you upload or enter. Using the workspace does not transfer ownership of those materials to the operator.
Service limitations
Keep independent copies of important records and verify exported drafts before use. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator does not promise uninterrupted service or error-free drafts and is not responsible for losses caused solely by reliance on unverified informational content. Nothing here limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived. Any liability language requires legal review before these Terms become final.
Changes and contact
A revised version will show its update and effective dates on this page. Material changes should be communicated in the workspace before they take effect. Governing law, operator details, and a final contact method remain pending operator and legal review. No arbitration or class-action waiver is included.
